Anyone Have An Axle Jack Like This?

Post by Kenny Edmondson » Tue Oct 01, 2024 12:07 pm

Picked up this axle jack with some T parts a few weeks ago. It’s missing a few parts and I was wondering what they looked like.

The manufacturer is J H Whetstone & Co. Lapeer, Mich.

See the pictures below and let me know if you can help out. Thanks!

Note that it is Lapeer.

I did some research on Google books and Whetstone marketed it as the Hovey Jack. Apparently there was a No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 Hovey Jack. Click on this link and have some fun.

Thanks Eric. Mine doesn’t have the locking mechanism for the height adjustment. So I’m looking for a sample of what the mechanism looks like. But thanks for the links. I’ll do some research in those.
