Hey all,

I am building a 1917 Great war no brass car.
There for I am looking for the 1917 hood shoulders.
Are there some where available? Even used will be Ok.
Or are there photos or drawings available to build them myself?

Unlike the ‘15 earlier that have separate metal hood formers to fit to flat wood fire wall, low steel radiator T’s have a cowl as part of the body. Those WW1 T’s used the front half of the open car body, to utilize the whole cowl.

You might acquire that body part, as it will have floorboard risers too making construction easier.

Alternate is flat wood firewall and make a mating half circle about 3/4” thick mounted on the firewall to be the hood ‘former’ for a low steel hood.

On the 17 and later T's, the hood sits on the wooden fire wall firewall, if you have the brackets on the frame with the correct offset. Any bodywork added bolts to the back of the firewall.
