Need a replacement LED- help please

I am looking for a LED bulb that will replace the existing 1158 incandescent bulb. I have 4 Model T’s that use the same tail lights and all use the 1158 bulb. They work but I want brighter. I do not want to change to a modern fixture, I’d like to stay as original as possible. So far, I have not found a LED replacement bulb that has 2 contacts (brake & tail light), non-staggered pins on the side, and operate on 6 volts. Has anyone found such a LED bulb?[image][/image]

#1158 is a six volt bulb. You may have trouble finding the LED equivalent, and I don't see that getting any easier. In fact, it will not surprise me if the 6 volt LED joins the button-up shoe and the buggy whip on the list of rare or unavailable technologies. That's why I went with 12 volts for turn signals, phone charger, and other electric accessories on my 1915. I used John Regan's information to make a charger that would keep the battery charged with magneto current. I don't generally recommend 12 volts for a starter, generator, and some other uses, but as an electronic dummy I had no trouble going with 12 volts for lights and modern "devices".

I have found numerous 6 volt dual LED bulbs on Amazon. I put some in my ‘41 Ford and Honda 70 with great results. In your case, cut off one lug on the base with a Dremel and they will fit your application.

Here is where I have purchased my park and brake light from.
They have a nice selection of automotive 6v bulbs. Headlight bulbs as well. Also I have their 6v to 12v step up box for my cigarette lighter usb charger and I run my 12v led safety/construction vehicle lights when on the highway.
I do not use them in the turn signals as of yet due to the hyper flashing leds have with out adding load resistors or a 6v led flasher.

Check the top supplier of LEDs... www.logolites.com. ...... They have bright stop lights, and two types of headlights. Check out their website to match what you need.

As I understand, because of the low power demand of LED's, they don't care if your system is 6 or 12 volt, positive or negative ground. I bought headlights from this company and have been very satisfied.

I have purchased from LogoLites in the past and was pleased with their site and their service. But, me being a dummy could not find 6v bulbs that had non-staggered pins. I was hoping someone on the forum had already found an item that would fit my need and post a link to that particular item.

P.S. I have some bulbs on the way now. Thanks.

Take a look at https://www.ledlight.com/6-volt-negativ ... ights.aspx. They have about everything you could possibly need and even a 3rd brake light in 6 volt. Their 1158 bulb part number 87934 may suit your purpose. I have some of their bulbs on my '25 coupe, but don't remember the exact number. From their description: "The bulb fits the outline of a normal incandescent bulb. UP to 270 lumen output for tail light, up to 320 Lumens for brake light." The cost listed on the web site is $5.99 plus shipping.
