Switch repair

What do you guys use to attach the switch onto the switch plate ? This one had small rusty screws which I know isn't correct. Came off my 27 Roadster.

I don't think the original rivet will work, the holes have been drilled out to larger size for the screws. As I recall that rivet is about 1/8" approx (may be a bit smaller then that).

It depends on how much of a purist you are. I would discard the plate you have, and find another. The appearance of the rivets for that switch plate are important, and it wouldn't look right to have screws or oversize rivets.
