Here’s a photo of a supposedly 1911 Model T. It appears to be staged as the caption with it said its a Model T being repaired with the tools and tool bag that came with the car. Looks like to me the tire was cut off instead of being removed with the tire tools. Or maybe a prop tire?

Is the tire changer napping in the shade before starting the job??
Or does the owner tighten the rods every blown tire as part of the normal service interval??

But seriously, is that the tool roll/container that came stock in 1911???

I have never seen a tool bag like that for a Model T, and can't identify any of the tools as those that came with a 1911 Model T.

I don't believe that is an original tool roll container as issued by Ford. Far too fancy.

The lady on the right appears ready to pump air into that tire that is cut in half. I would guess this is a "humorous" staged photo.

This photograph is probably taken in England. The headlights do not seem to be US made. Look closely, it may be a right hand drive. The tool bag and tools support the idea it is a British Model T.

I should have not jumped to conclusions. I was wrong about right hand drive when the horn is on the left side.

She's got both hands holding the pump handle - he's got the business end of the pump hose held onto the tube stem.

Ford never used a tool bag like that.

I checked the Cimorelli Model T website. There is a list of the parts books and in the 1912 book there is the picture of the tool roll bag with T tools. That’s also a pretty good source on T information. Maybe the picture from the exploration of history website is a 1012? Anyway the picture is staged.

Whoever took the time to put the Cimorilli site together did a pretty good job. And of course Bruce McCalley did too!

This photo really looks “of the period” that is taken many years ago. That being said what the bloody hell they are supposed to be doing is beyond me.

Steve, I am not convinced that the tool roll in the catalog/parts book is a tube with sewn in round ends like the one in the photo. The photo one is way more complex than a simple flat roll with pockets for each tool. I could be wrong again.

The bag number on the parts list book is #2336 as you mentioned. The photo picture of the posed car is a guess as to what exactly they were doing anyway. There was probably items thrown in the photo setup from what ever they could find. Ford products or whatever.Maybe some original bags??? . But if they did they aren’t very many. The bag itself if Ford had one to begin with was probably thrown away like several non essential items after a few years or so.

Is this a carburetor?

The tool roll pictured in the parts book is a flat tool container rolled up. The one in the first picture is not the same, it's an entirely different tool container.
