I travel with work more than I need to, so I am always trying to make the most of it.

A year ago I went to the Henry Ford Museum and was blessed by the time of a member joining me. I appreciated Doug's time and it was much better than touring alone. (see: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=37113&p=286786#p286786)

Last month I reached out and got advice about Model T interest in Washington DC. (see: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=45644&p=348225#p348225)

Next week 11/11/24 to 11/14/24 I plan to be in Colorado Springs. Anything Model T related? I have never been out of the airport in Colorado, so don't be concerned telling me the most basic info.

Are you flying into DIA or into Colorado Springs? DIA is about 1 1/2 hours drive North of Colorado Springs.
We have a few MTFCA Mile High Pedal Pushers local club (Denver), that live in the Springs. There is the Garden of the Gods park. I've seen photos of Ts driving through that park. NOT T related: U.S. Air Force Academy, the Mining Museum, Pike's Peak, and the Pike's Peak Cog Railway, Cave of the Winds, and Seven Falls.

The current conditions: SNOW, Springs will have 1-2 feet by this weekend, currently snowing but next week is forecast as nicer weather. BUT, being close to the mountains, the weather is HARD to get an accurate forecast and is subject to change by the HOUR.

On the other side of the mountain is Cripple Creek if you’re in to gambling and the much quieter Victor if you’re into antiques.

I will be flying into Colorado Springs directly.

Thanks for the tips on the museums. They look interesting.

I’m not sure if I will be able to get out of town. Sounds like there’s a bunch of stuff to do in town.

From where I’m coming from it’s hard to imagine it’s snowing somewhere with the beautiful sunny days here.

Update: weather was beautiful!

The conference was at the Broadmoor that houses the Penrose Heritage Museum with the Hill Climb cars. Literally I walked by and in the museum each day. Here is the Model T. Here is a short video I made of the museum so you get a small taste:

The world war 2 airplane museum , located right on the airport is well worth a visit. They have 29 ww2 airplanes in flying condition, and you can visit the restoration hanger as well. They also have a mail plane that Charles Lindbergh flew. Very well displayed.
