23 speedometer cable

Post by big2bird » Tue Dec 31, 2024 11:42 am

What is the correct length for a 23 touring?

What was the original finish on it?

If you have a Stewart speedometer and the swivel is placed ahead of the axle, the length is 60", and the finish is black. I hope this helps, Russ Furstnow

I have a 60" and a 66". 60" will go on the car.

What would the 66 be for? Just curious.

Back/Mother-in-law seat driver speedo placement ;)
Everything works in theory.
Reality is how you determine if something works or not.

The longer cable may be called for if the speedo drive is mounted on the other side of the car to the speedo. This is sometimes necessary if the swivel joint runs in the opposite direction to normal for a T. Swivels can be LH or RH rotation.
