I have a 18 engine in my 15 t right now with a high head. My 15 low head head is in good condition. Will I notice much in hill pulling power installing it. I’m not looking for speed just more hill power. I was originally planning on installing a z head.
Head and manifold might be for sale.

It seem most T owner are also T parts hoarders. I also have some a extra set of light weight connecting rods with almost new Babbitts. Do I hoard them or sell them.

Neil,
That's an awful big hole for the #3 spark plug, as for saving the rods, only good if you have the matching size crank, if still STD not easy to find a good one these days.

Haven’t put the new helicoil in it yet.

I would skip the low Ford head for the Z head. At least the difference in performance will be noticable. If you haven't bought the Z head already, I would skip again to a Prus head.

I recently installed a U&J carburetor on an otherwise stock 1923 engine. The hill climbing energy has been really great. Can’t imagine it with a high compression head.

I’m curious about what sort of thread repair you are using? That hole looks way too big for a Helicoil.

Neil, if I understand your question, you want to know if you will notice a difference in power between a stock high head and a stock low head. The primary difference between a low head and a high head is not combustion chamber, it is coolant volume.
