I saw this ad today on the HCCA forum. The ad says that pre-bidding starts on May 24, 2025.

I only saw an auction for lunch boxes and Barbie dolls.

I miss Rich - he was certainly one of the good guys. I hope his family does well from the auction and that his collection ends in good hands.

I can say that Richard & his wife Joy were good friends of Rose & I, we visited them whenever we had the chance.

I did not realize Rich had passed, I haven't been diligent in reading the Forum this last year. A great loss, his artwork was phenomenal.

Since Richard was such a talented man, I'm sure there are a lot of wonderful things that will be sold at this auction. Of course, probably nothing that I actually "need"...

However, I do have a "want"
Rich made this painting of my 1911 from a photograph before restoration.

I would love to have it. How can I find out if it is in the auction? Does anyone have contact information for Joy they are willing to share with me?

The Splitdorf plugs I got from Rich will power my T as long as I am driving it. I’m thankful to be reminded of him each time I see them on the motor.

Hello Model T Guys!

This is Rich's daughter, Sally posting to give a quick update to the auction!

The listings for each lot have started to be populated, bidding starts this Saturday, the 7th. If you are local to the area, or happen to be stopping by Shelley for the E.I.V.M.C.C.A Annual Swap Meet & Car Show, the items are on public display per the hours noted on the flyer attached.

We also wanted to let you all know that we have photographed all of his paintings to make available to his online buddies who are interested in getting prints of their favorites made, as there are only so many originals to go around Details TBD

Speaking of paintings - Keith - you're in luck - we haven't gotten the painting of your 1911 T listed yet and my mom and I agree that my dad would have wanted you to have it - please message me your contact info and we'll arrange to get it to you.

Lastly, I'd just like to thank you all for the friendship and community that you've built here - my dad got immeasurable satisfaction out of his interactions with everyone here. It is amazing to see a group of guys who share such similar senses of humor, respect/appreciation for one another, as well as a passion for T's. It was always a great conversation starter with Dad to ask him what new/exciting things were happening on the forum! He delighted in being able to answer a question, provide a needed reference image, or create another chapter documenting the misadventures of Kalamity Dick!
