Henrietta's new safety feature.

I feel uncomfortable driving in town and only being able to use hand signals, and only to make RH turns, so she now has direction indicators.k
The rear ones are on a hinged plate, which will also have original battery tail lights wired as brake lights. These will be able to be clipped up out of sight when she is on display.
The switch is a weathered brown bakelite unit made by Lucas. The light in the centre is red, and illuminates the white surround as well. All I need now is a siren so I can hear when I leave them on.
Now I need to work out a coffee cup holder!

Hi Allan, You said that now all you need is a siren so you know when you left the turn signals on.
Lang's has a turn signal beeper that you simply wire into the circuit to let you know. I have one and it works good. Part Number T-Sign-Beep. Price is $8.45 each USD.

KEITH, YOU NEED TO TYPE LOUDER! I NEED A SIREN, NOT SOME PUNY LITTLE BEEPER. EITHER THAT OR $7000 WORTH OF NEW HEARING AIDS!!!!!!!!

Hi Allan, My hearing aids only cost $4,000.00 and they work fine. I can hear my Lang's turn signal beeper ok also.
BTW, Will you be going on the T Tour in Marysborough in late September? We are and I'd like to meet up with you....
Best wishes,
Keith

Got the signal lights and stop light installed yesterday on Tinker T. Also made a cup holder out of a hollowed out tree limb.
Now I can let others know what I am about to do and enjoy my coffee, too.

Keith, you raise a sore point. Maryborough is a 5 day drive away with mt T on a trailer. That makes it almost a 3 week trip from here. My usual co-pilot has been booked on a cruise, so he is out. I have not entered, and probably will not. Have 2 days to decide.
You will have fun. Take lots of pictures for us.

Hi Keith, I will be at the Maryborough Tour and will have spare seats in the Touring. It is a Left Hand Drive car so you will feel quite at home. In Allans absence hopefully you can ride with us?

Alan: You have them correctly mounted where the chimps that talk riding behind you expect them to be. Sorry though you're wrong about them being a safety feature. That' all in your head as it was in mine when I went for a highly visible stop/turn/tail light set-up.

Allan, I understand as a 3 week trip is really long, especially if you're still working. Now that I'm retired we can do those trips easier.
Warwick, let's plan on riding together if Allan can't make the tour. It should be fun. BTW, Did I meet you a few years ago when you were in the US?
Maybe we can ride with both of you on different days if Allan is there? Often it's fun to ride with several different T'ers to get a different perspective.
Just think, it's only about 3 weeks away. Can hardly wait!
Cheers,
Keith

Keith, the Maryborough rally is in late September into October. Are you planning an extended trip, to be leaving in just 3 weeks? Your interest in the event has prompted me to reconsider attendance, and I have a blessing for a late entry, so I hope to see you there. If I bring Henrietta however, I will have only one seat for riders. Warwick has the right idea. Ride with as many as you can. The friendships developed are priceless.
Cheers, Allan.

Hi Allan, Yes, the 3 weeks comment was a mistake. It should have been about 3 months!!! My Wife is coming with me, of course, so I must include her preferences too. We will work something out for rides and it is nice to ride with several T'ers for different perspectives.
I'm glad that you can make it and we're looking forward to this tour. Can hardly wait!!!
Cheers, Keith

Good Job Allan. Around here they don't even include hand signals in the drivers handbook anymore so when you signal a left turn the kid behind you thinks you want him to pass!
