Same here John. Other members should be aware of this possible problem.

The "15 Millionth" is the ceremony last assembly line Model T, built on Thursday, May 26th 1927, to register the end of the T.

B. McCauley did list 15,007,033 as the last reputed Model T built. (Same info found on Wikipedia for Tuesday May 31, 1927)

Appropriate date due to the fanfare of the ending, esp. since Ford announced at the same time the New Ford, and that production would halt at all 24 plants and lay off 10,000 employees. The factory change overs were done rather rapidly from June 1 to early Nov 1927 when the Model A was introduced.

Of course complete assembled engines were made, about 500/mo. to end of year, perhaps for branch assembly plants of Ts and TTs. Then about 250/mo for a few years later to supply dealers for replacement motors, but for all consequence the Ford T was discontinued end of May 1927.

I agree that if the Ford branches had enough parts or chassis they used up the parts to build up a complete car. It only makes sense.
And the left over parts were sold as time went on. I think that even though the T was old history and out of date there was enough out there that needed parts to keep them going. And we all know that.
I don’t think Ford wanted all the out of date parts back and wanted to sell them as long as he could.

We took our 27 out today and gave rides.
