 We got to take a camping trip with the Model T and our Zagelmeyer trailer. It shows us setting up the trailer and some of the highlights of the camp trip. We went to a local Corp of Engineers Lake near us as the first real test run of camping with the trailer and pulling the trailer with the T. It was about a 50-to-60-mile trip with 4 days- 3 nights of camping. We are trying to promote vintage camping with our cars, as something to do with the cars, family and friends. We are seeing a great response to vintage motor camping. Maybe it can be one of the things to help keep the hobby active. We are not professional video producers. Not by a long shot, but it is fun. Please leave a comment on the video or here on the forum. We love hearing comments and suggestions from everyone.

Have fun and be safe ....

Donny,
Thanks for sharing. At one point in my life, I started to design a Model T tent trailer with exactly that design!

That makes me want to get back to Model T travel. Watching Dean over the years, I've seen him go from a trailer with a canvas camper on it to a Model T with its own canvas camper mounted on the back. I once contemplated a trailer, but I never took the plunge. I've traveled with a tent, but mostly I've slept on the ground. I don't consider that a hardship, as Ive been doing it since 1946. I haven't got into vintage equipment, so maybe that will be next.

Thanks for watching. I think we are at 18 videos now. We try to vary our content, and try to show actual simple camping and day trips. The videos of us setting up displays at modern rendezvous and expos is trying to promote vintage camping to "the rest of the world" not just to the group that already have a T or other old car. We are seeing a lot of interest in "using" the old cars, and not just parades or car shows. One thing we always stress is you do not need the antique camping gear. Just go to Wal Mart and buy something, or use what you already have. Then you can start the hunt for the old stuff if that interest you. Or just keep using what you have. Thanks again for the comments ..

A great video. I really enjoyed that. The Zagelmeyer is beautiful. Handy to have the Warford and the Disk brakes for towing. I have a trailer which I hope to transfer this camper to so I can load the ute up with other stuff and head off on a few adventures.

Aussie. Nice looking tent. That tent on a period looking trailer with wheels matching the car would look real nice. It would also give good storage underneath the tent for camp gear. You could also have a slide in box, similar to the old "peddlers" boxes in the back of the truck bed. That would allow for good weight distribution between trailer and truck. We also do modern overland style camping with a similar rooftop tent. They are so nice and comfortable, and easy to set up. Your tent being green would look appropriate. Thanks for watching
