? re: Bolts to hold engine pan to frame

The wood blocks are in place. The upper bolts are snug. The bolts that run horizontally through the block are suppose to be 2 1/4". That size will be too short. I am going to have to use a 2 1/2" bolt in order to get the nut on and cotter pin in place. Maybe there is an issue with the pan or with the frame, but I have to live with it. Has anyone else had this issue?

When I put those in my 26 Roadster I had to cut the nut down to get the pin to go. That bolt doesn’t get tightened so it wasn’t a problem to cut it.
