Would be interesting to see a report from Ed on mileage, parts longevity, tire life, failures, etc.

One thing sure can be said, and that is nobody can accuse Ed of living a boring, unfulfilling lifeā¦a toast to you good sir.

Ed and Karen are two of the most wonderful people I have ever known! And their kids and grandkids are pretty great also.
So many times, I have seen that wonderful car going down the road on Endurance Runs and other tours. I have seen videos of it at the Monterey Historic Races, I never get tired of seeing it, either on the road at speed or sitting still. It has long been and always will be one of my top favorite model T Speedsters or racing cars.
I often wonder how many miles he has driven it? I believe at least three "almost" coast to coast round trips, only a couple hundred miles short of the Atlantic, and Ed and Karen's home is only a few miles from the San Francisco bay, actually Pacific waters. One trip I believe he actually touched the waters on both coasts. A few other round trips from California to National Club tours in the Midwest, numerous other round trips to major tours throughout most of the Western states, I wonder how many states that car has been driven to and from?
I doubt that more than a handful of models Ts have ever been driven more miles. And Ed himself must be a contender for most miles behind the wheel of a model T.
Something else that makes all this really special? I personally have known probably a hundred model T speedsters and racing cars over the years. Very FEW of them have been as era correct as is number 4! No significant modernization of the rear end, or engine. The wheels, all body construction, all as they would have been over a hundred years ago. I have seen the inside of that engine several times. Yeah, model T crankshaft.

Hey, I just saw this. I often wonder where the pictures end up as I see people with their cell phones shooting, as I ramble down the road. Since Karen isn't with me I assume this one was taken as I was driving home from the Santa Clara Valley Model T Ford Club endurance run on June 8th, probably on I 880. Other than racing, the annual endurance run is about the only event that she doesn't go on with me. She say's I sometimes get a little to frisky on some of those mountain roads. I don't know how she came up with that idea.
