Vanderbrink Auctions has an online only estate auction coming up in Montana It has lots of early stuff with some Model T cars and parts cars. Other early cars. 1909 REO is oldest to 1960s era with some later stuff. A huge auction with a good selection of cars, trucks, tractors, hit miss engines and other unique stuff. There is a 1915 Couplette body that appears pretty good for sitting outside. it is lot # 312MA , A very rare body .... Lots of other 20s 30s era cars and trucks including 1926 Lincoln and other early Lincolns ... Just lots of good stuff ...
Ill try to post a link to the auction listing. It is the Montana Barn Finds Auction. Maybe some of you Montana folks can save some of the T stuff.

It always amuses me how auctioneers and other uneducated people throw around the term, "Barn Find ", as vanderbrink did in the title of this auction. If all these items, or even just those on wheels that could roll, were found in a barn, that barn would have to be the size of an aircraft manufacturing facility !

A lot of these cars were inside. There are pictures with the cars inside and also showing the buildings. Lots of them are outside.

I don't think he couplet body is a T model body, if that makes a difference. Notice the decklid and the dashboard.

Maybe you are seeing #156M. That looks like a Dodge coupe body.
#312MA does appear to be a couplet body. But, I am no expert.

Terry, while I realize what you are trying to say, I will tell you that Miss Yvette ranks right up there with as much (-or more) knowledge about Ts and collector vehicles than many participants who are on these forums. This is really big business for her, and she is arguably the leading Auctioneer throughout this entire country for handling & disbursing collector car estates. Her resume' is unreal at what vehicles she has sold over the years and what $$ they fetched. My guess is the reason why the term 'Barn Find' was used is/was more as a marketing tool to attract potential Bidders who search the internet for 'Barn Find' automobiles.

This really is a barn find situation. This stuff was in barns & sheds. When I was there a couple of weeks ago they had a crew still pulling stuff out. It is an amazing collection of iron not to mention all the small stuff. There is a lot less T stuff than I had hoped but many of the cars and trucks are really unique. I already have a bid in on a tractor.

Glad to see some folks are interested. I would hate to see the Couplet go for scrap.

Is that the coupelet that was on ebay for a long time? Was the seller Bob by name?

Herb, I do not think this is the same Couplet that has been on E-Bay for years ...

One of the couplets that has been on eBay for many years was a later fixed roof removeable pillars coupe, likely a 1918 version. It was owned by a major collector in Montana that liked to "share" some of what he had by listing things on eBay at very high prices. Stan Howe personally knew the fellow, and vouched for his actually being a good person, and just some crazy sort trying to get high dollars for junk. Word was (from a few people that actually knew the man) that he often did sell his treasures for very reasonable prices, and that the high prices posted in places like eBay was to weed out nuisance inquiries.
His 1918ish fixed roof couplet was in exceptionally good original condition. This clearly is not that one. As I recall, there were occasional mentions of an earlier folding top couplet also being in Montana, but it was rarely mentioned, and I never heard who it was that had it.
The photos of this folding top couplet do not reveal much about its actual condition. I do hope someone can get it and restore it. Hopefully, it is still a worthwhile project.
