So... helping a recent acquaintance with his T, it's a '19/'20 vintage, has the 1919 style switch, cast light lever, it is a Clum product. There seems to be a center contact disc missing. Is anyone refurbishing switches that may have loose parts. I would post a pic but can't seem to accomplish that. The missing piece engages the cast lever via two pins . Any help appreciated , thanks , Wingnut

If the lever is cast, that is a real early switch and I have one or two that I am not going to restore.

Clum made several rectangular style Model T switches with different internal parts. It would help to have a picture or two of what parts you have. They even made ones that are the common style like Briggs & Stratton

These are the internal parts for the more common style whether the switch plate is rectangular or oval. The difference is the clip type type vs pin type backing plate. --

These are Clum variations - I have another one that is even different than these. Clum cylinders (tumblers) are also different

Those early Clum switches are rather different inside.

This pic was off the forum years ago, believe it is the innards of one of those '19-early '20 switches. The large cast handle on the far right is busted off.


And once had a couple of Ben Martin restored early ones, the plates have either 2 or 4 rivets too.
