Uncle Josh Buys an Automobile

A little off topic but good for a laugh. You can only assume a Model T as the culprit.

Those recordings and radios clips bring things to the imagination that pictures can't.
What great memories of those days this brings.
Thanks
Rich
When did I do that?

I realize that the whole recording is for amusement but I never heard of Model Ts being sold through a catalog. Now I am sure the high wheelers such as the Sears where in catalogs.
Anyone know anything different?

As a collector of cylinder records, I can assure you that little information gleaned from an Uncle Josh recording bears any resemblance to reality. They're just good fun and give a glimpse into our forefathers' sense of humor. Some was awful, bearly eliciting a grin, some corny, and some down-right hilareous.

Regarding other humor records, recognizing differences in sensibilities, and not projecting today's mores onto those who have passed on, some of the ethnic humor could be deemed by today's standards either cringe-worthy, or side-splitting, or both (and for those who don't know, there wasn't hardly an ethnicity or coloqualism, man/woman or husband/wife that was spared).

The perky or amorous songs got remembered, but these humor records really tell us a lot about the life, times and spirit of the early 20th Century.

Has anyone ever seen sheet music for this song? I've collected automotive sheet music for about 35 years now and my collection includes an assortment of Ford related music, but would love to add "Uncle Josh Buys an Automobile" to the collection. It must exist somewhere.
Thanks,
Terry
