Finally got it to crank start with electronic ignition! I had to advance the timing more than usual was all.

Advanced timing and hand cranking is a dangerous combination.

Unfortunately, some will learn the hard way on why their wrist was broken.

I like the Ford system. It will start on battery or magneto, electric starter or crank, or push or pull the car. About as often as not, it will start simply by turning the ignition key to battery.

Thats right! Always be sure to grasp the crank in the proper manner and be careful! Most of all be safe and enjoy your car and make it your own!

What I am wondering, is that a basement?
Is there a water heater in that area?
Is it a GAS water heater?
How about a gas furnace?

Parking any gasoline fueled vehicle or tool in a basement is VERY DANGEROUS!! That goes for any enclosed space where any appliance that has a pilot light or electric ignition device is located, or where any brush-type electric motor is in use.

No basements in Hawaii.

Alfredo, congrats on getting your T running with a different ignition source. I think the comments you’re getting however ineloquent you think they may be are made out of an abundance of experience and safety concern for you & anyone else in your home. It is your T, your innovation and problem solving. Just be careful, we all want to see you being able to enjoy your Model T.

Its in a ground level garage.

The 19 touring car I brought that burned down a house, new Cadillac and the motor home parked next to the house was in. Ground Level Garage.
I just was posting a warning for the new guys.
And that 19 almost killed the owner and his wife. They almost didn’t get out of the house it went up so fast.

Did you make sure timing was correctly set before you started cranking it? Sometimes my speedster with a dizzy requires advancement before starting with the crank. It has never kicked back.

The Pertronix probably changed the static position. You advanced it to where it was/ should be.

DHort - I also advance a bit before cranking my Speedster. I have a WOSP starter and it needs a little advance to start. No problems so far.
