Please note the brush holder is copper plated, and the actual brush is smaller than the Tip Tops.

The example of the copper plated wide brush holder isn't copper plated at all! It is solid copper and was probably made by the former owner. I have yet to see an original New Day brush that used the wide style as used today.

I have several also, wide, solid copper. They were not one off made.
They came in one of the new day copy type timers.
As I recall, timing is even further off from a ford roller timer.

This is a spare that I have, it is identical to the NOS one that I put into my new rebuild as you can see it is magnetic. Along side of it is a couple of brushes that I made from an old motor brush like the one behind. Jim
