Rebabbit Block
Looking to have my block babbit redone. My 22 has .016 end play & no shims left on the rods.Thinking of grinding the crank .010 under , pickup rods from a supplier. The block is std bore with no ring groove. Hone and ring the pistons. Not to many left doing the babbit thing. Can't seem to contact Andy Loso. Who else does babbit within a reasonable distance?

Re: Rebabbit Block
Model T engine bores don't get a ring groove as the top compression rings goes to the top of the bore.

Re: Rebabbit Block
I would be happy to Babbitt your block, I've 30 years experience, did the T-100 project for Ford Motor Company, work for the Henry Ford Museum and a few hundred other T engines using KRW equipment. I only do Model T engines, none other. I'm located in NW Ohio!

Re: Rebabbit Block
Lookin' good, Jack! Do you bore your own rods as well and if so, what sort of setup do you have?

Re: Rebabbit Block
Sean: Yes I bore my own rods. They are set up on a milling machine, then bored to desired size.
