Hi James,

Murphy fasteners are also know as "common sense turn button" fasteners. There are many different versions from our regular T vendors, in both brass and nickel finishes.

Keep crankin',
Eric

It is for a 1916 Touring, here's my confusion. It is fitting to the sides of the Top Boot so it is mounting directly to fabric. All the fasteners I see have two screw holes on the base and those attach to wood. Which ones work with two pieces of fabric only?

This kind, male twist sandwich between fabric and it’s backing plate, compress the lugs to lock

Open portion to other fabric, with its backing plate.

Comes in government black or nickel or brass.

I believe the factory issued top boot for 1916 is the same as 1917 - no Murphy fasteners:

It all depends on how authentic you want to be. A real Murphy fastener usually has an M with a circle around it.
