Has anyone ever had one of these apart to change the bulb?

Trying to get my head around it. A rear view mirror with a light to show what's coming from behind?
Very cool accessory!

?Thinking that the dome's bezel would unscrew from the base?

From the post "In the early auto years, drivers couldn't read their Moto-meter gauges at night, so the Moto-Meter company developed a solution with this light. This light attached to the outside post of the windshield. The driver could reach out and focus a strong beam of light onto his temperature gauge, allowing him to see the temperature of his car at night. Inside the glass dome of this light is a magnifying glass piece that is used to focus the beam of light onto the Moto-Meter gauge. The back side of the lamp had a shutter affair that could be opened about 1/2" to show a red light, either light or dark red, to the rear (the “parking lamp”). The whole affair cost six dollars; for an additional dollar, one could add a rearview mirror that bolted to the light fixture.""

Thank you for the link Mr. Brandi. This unit is NOS out of its box, I’ve disassembled it this far but can’t figure out how to remove the glass lens. It almost seems pressed, I can’t imagine such an expensive product being sold without a means of replacing the bulb inside?

I even looked through Boyce patents and couldn’t find it, although everywhere on the light it says “Pat Pend”

Wonder if its set-up like a model T headlamp. spring under the reflector and studs to clear notches
Push down on the bezel & rotate counter-clockwise ?
