We just completed another video for our Model T Camp and Adventures channel on You Tube. We are not monetized and make nothing from the videos. We also are a couple of old dinosaurs making videos and never use any form of AI.

This was a combination of us being "Old School" and the rest of the family group being "Modern" as to camping gear.

We also got to use our repro 1927 Sears canvas tent for the first time.

Just thought that someone may be interested........ let us know what you think. We like comments and suggestions ....

Is it possible to send me the contact information on the tent manufacturer that made your tent, that is, if they are willing to make another.

I've been looking for one similar to yours, or an umbrella tent, for several years. I've looked at a few, but they're usually rotted from getting put away wet, or they are in poor shape from rough use and carry a large price tag.

Mike, the contact info is in the video. I posted it on the section where I was describing the tent. You can also Google Spring Valley Lodges. They have a web site with their contact info on it. If you look at the online catalog at there "speciality tent" section there is a photo of the first Auto Tent they made for a Model A owner to use with his car while camping. It is the basic Auto Tent with no floor or front wall. It attached to the car and uses no poles or just poles on the rear wall. Our tent was their second Auto Tent. We wanted the deluxe model with the sewn in floor, door and windows with screens. Sears and Roebuck had several different models of the Auto tent and several options you could add if a person wanted to wait to have it made instead of just ordering one of the "stock" models. One option we added is the inside wood header that ties the two front poles together at the top. Spring Valley does not make the poles. They give you dimensions for the poles. They do have the ropes with adjusting blocks you can order with the tent . The tent also will come with a nice storage bag. We made our poles out of pressure treated 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 handrail material from the lumber yard. Plenty strong enough and light. I will stain them later after they fully dry and cure. If you do not want a sewn in floor, they will sew in a flap around the bottom inside about 4 inches wide. Then you get a ground cloth the size of the tent to use as a floor and it lays on top of the flaps. Lots of ways and variations of the tent to go with. They will work with you on what you want. We spent a lot of time with them figuring out the little details. I sent them lots of photos of our 1930s original Sears umbrella tent that showed the way the seams were made, the stitching patterns, how the widows were to be made to open from the inside ect. We took the extra time because they were interested in adding Auto Tents to their already extensive line of re-enactments tents. The tent is not cheap, but I was happy with the cost because the quality was very good. Let me know if you need any help or ideas. .... Have fun and be safe .....
