Don't forget today is Ford's 117th. anniversary of the start of production of the Model T Ford. Some of us from our local club will be taking our cars to the local Serving Our Seniors a.k.a. SOS, senior center for a little "show and tell" event and give rides to anyone interested or able to hop up into the cars. It'll be fun as always.

It's interesting that Henry was bragging that it was not an 'assembled' car.

It is interesting to note that statement, which was fact, not a boast. Although Ford jobbed out the manufacture of components, the Model T was Ford’s concept and unlike any other. To make the distinction, there were not a few companies in that era, eager to get into the automotive trade, whose machines were not conceptualized nor engineered as a whole - frames from one supplier, transmissions from another, axles from a third, engines from yet another.
