Firelands Timeless T's @ Camp Perry ceremony

Post by TWrenn » Mon Jul 08, 2019 6:01 pm

Once again our club was invited by the Civilian Marksmanship Program to bring our cars to their impressive "First Shot" ceremony today which marks the opening of the weeklong marksmanship competition at Camp Perry near Oak Harbor Ohio. as always it was a very patriotic inspired program. Signature portion was again having the American flag arrive by parachute. Due to various commitments we were only to have 4 cars for the program of which we gave many rides to spectators afterward. We had my '13, two '26' S and our club Presidents '40 Deluxe Sedan. Afterward we toured to Port Clinton for lunch. The weather was excellent. The lake did its best to flood several roads in the area also! As always when posting from my phone some pics are sideways..click on them and they will show normal. Got a couple out of sequence! Sorry!

Yes, Thank You Tim!

You were blessed to have some good weather for you event. Lately around here it has been "touch & go" for many of the car events. I have been trying to cut back on my road time a bit to get to some of our local events, so maybe I am to blame for all the rain we had!

I live in New London Twp, not that far from you or this event.

God Bless
Bill

Thank you Scott & Bill. Right after posting the allowable 5 pics I got interrupted and forgot to post theae of our group..as I did not intend to make the post just about my car! Altho the event organizer did intend to make her an "extra focal point"...the flag raising and the first shot being primary of course. He really has a liking for the old cars! Bill, you're not too far away to join our little club. One member is clear down in Greenwich.
