I need to find some valves for a Roof Liberty Overhead. The valve deminsion are the following
Head diameter-1.685”
Stem diameter- .308
Length- 5.839
My other question is what the valve grind? Is the grind similar to what you would grind on model t
Thanks
Fitz

I have a Roof 8 valve and I can drop a valve and check the degree of the valve face and the degree of the seat. If that would help you. My head is just sitting on the shelf ready to install on my engine when I get to it. Do you have an exhaust manifold, I may not use mine haven't made up my mind yet.

just sayin

The 16 valves Roof I have here takes standard model T valves, just not 8 but 16.
I don't know for the 8 valves Roof.

SBI has PDF,s you can download. You have some dimensions and should find something that will work. Nothing special about a valve angle grind.

Biggest issue will be finding an off the shelf exhaust valve with a stem that long. Many engines like small block Chevrolet have valve stems just over 5" long.
Chevrolet 216 qnd 235 ci engines had a long stem that can be cut down if the head diameters are close. Also at one time Egge Machine had valve blanks available. Shortening valve stems and turning down valve heads is something that you may have to do if you find a valve to modify.

Manley Valve has a custom order option. Won’t be cheap, but they’ll be right

If you can get ahold of an automotive engine valve catalog you could spend some time looking for something that matches. You could go with a larger diameter head and have it cut down along with longer stem.
