I was just finishing putting the last few bits back on my new engine when I discovered that the outside oil line was dodgy so I looked at my other engines oiler and copied it
It is a 1/2” copper fitting a bit of pipe and a plate
And this is how it came out

Even if this is what appears to be a right hand drive Starter, rotation is the other way so it would appear your pick up is backwards?

Take time to think about that john if I crank an engine clock wize and if you look at the hogshead right the out let of my oil line is end close wize I think it’s the correct way

Looks correct, the starter hangs on the left from the drivers seat and rotation throws oil over the top toward the top of starter and the picture shows the starter mount holes for the left forward Side .
