Does anyone have any information on how the camshaft driving gear is mounted to the camshaft? Looks like I am missing the part that mounts to the camshaft and holds the driving gear. I don't see a pin hole in the driving gear, but it is keyed so am thinking that a sleeve is mounted to the cam shaft the driving gear floats on it? The only info I have found so far (ads) only shows how it is mounted to the timing cover, no other details. I think I can figure it out but sure does not hurt to ask first.

Most of these clamp on rigs directly replace the commutator components. You will likely find that the drive gear is a slip fit on the nose of the camshafts and the commutator pin fits nicely in the gear keyway. The distributor is not much of a load on the gearset, and the pin head is more than enough “key” to handle the torque. I suspect that you have all you need to get this accessory up and running

Sorry to be getting back to this so late. The gear hole where it fits on the cam is larger then the stub shaft on the cam. There must be a piece that has a locating pin (I can see a spot inside of the gear that looks like wear from a pin) to keep the gear from rotating that would fit on the cam shaft. I am not sure how that piece is held on the cam shaft and if the gear that is mounted on it just floats.
