1 i am dis-abled right now and can't get down on the floor but i have a question how much is the stroke of the shift lever on the ruckstell axle from high (dis-engaged to low (engaged) i wonder what the distance is 1' or more would appreciate the help

2 is the later heavier shift lever easier to shift more so than the early ones, and is the stroke the same?( considering how it is made i do not see why not)

i am trying to make my ruckstell shift a little easier which is why asked about the bigger later ruckstell shifter.

Steven,
I believe the throw of Ruckstell shirt handle is the same regardless of the early or late shift lock. Both are less than 12"

Would a left hand or right hand shifter be easier for you?

Alternatively, I believe that there was a floor mount shifter designed for the Model A Ruckstell, that I have seen adapted for use on a Model T.

What year of car do you have?
