Domed or dished? I think I might have one or two high head type that are dished on top. Probable a supplier thing and was not tracked. If for the high head, sometime between introduction of that head and late 1925 or could be after market.

1924 last use, have seem most of the pocket style high head bolts in 1922-24 cylinder heads. Some of the earlier flat head types can be found with Inspector marks on the head of the bolt.

From Bruce's C-D Encyl.
2-18-24 Redesigned, specifying threads to be rolled instead of cut. This changes the diameter of stock from .428 - .432 to .380-.384” and weight per 1000 pieces from 151.5# to 120#. (Rolled- thread bolts were used in all production after July 16, 1923 according to engine production records.)
6-25-24 Removed pocket from head.
