The TT project begins
Been about a year trying to get this truck. Finally got it bought and took deliver of most of the chassis and "wheel kits". Got front wheels with new felleos, tires, tubes and flaps. Just grabbed a pair of rings on ebay so should be good there. Have 4 rears and 4 rings to choose (that will come later) from and will need new rubber. As you can see the truck was disassembled, parts bagged and labled, new parts bought. What I'm looking for now will be a "reassembly book, diagram or whatever. Everything forward of the firewall I'm good with. The transmission is followed by a Warford aux. trans. and I'll get into those questions later. Keep the line open cause I'll probably have some questions along the way and will keep pictures posted of progress. First step will be to sandblast and paint the frame and front end component and suspension.

Congratulations on the acquisition and welcome to the affliction. Consider powder coating the frame and front end - maybe even the axle housings. Both painting and powder coating require sandblasting. The latter treatment may even be cheaper and much longer lasting.
That cast iron Warford is both the best thing and most dangerous thing for a TT. Will require you master a ‘technique’ in shifting or you’ll have no service brakes - real scary.

I don’t know why I turned out this way. My parents were decent people.

Re: The TT project begins
Well the TT frame made it to the sand blast/powder coat shop yesterday. In the mean time Im preping suspension parts for primer and paint. The spindles have to be replaced so I spent 4 hours and the blue wrench to get the rt steering arm off. Also dove into the genny only to find a bad brush plate. Still debating on fixing it or just replacing. Also got the front wheels. bolted together ready for a final sanding and paint. Then mount the front tires. Will tackle the rest next week....but first a trip to the mountains for a few days then more to come.

Lookin good.
You need a bed for it ?
It was modeled after a wood TT bed design.
8’l x 3.5’w(flares to 4.5’) x 14”h (20” at top of flare)

If my short term memory gets any shorter, I won’t even have thought about what I’m going to forget.

Re: The TT project begins
PDGx thanks for the bed offer. Going to go with a conventional flat bed. So we have made some progress and getting closer to getting the chassis rolling. New ring gear, seals and gaskets installed in the rear end. Front end completely rebuilt and replaced the right spindle. New pawl and spring for the E brake. Looking for an affordable set of 6.00x20s. Then we can dig into the engine/trans.
