I nearly ready to start installing the wooden roof frame on my 26 coupe. Does anyone use a sealer/ RTV under the wood or do youse wait till it's on and then seal the space between the wood and the top edge of the body? Thanks

On the tops I've done I don't use any sealer under the top wood. I do however use a polyurethane sealer under the cobra grain. Loctite roof and flashing sealer works perfect and blends right in with the cobra grain. I also use the Loctite under the rain gutters and the hidem trim. It cleans up nicely with mineral spirits so you can get a tight seal all the way around the top.

While that top installation looks great, most of the evidence points to fold over welting being used, not hide-em. Minor detail, but thought you might like to know.
