I'm in the process of putting my 1910 Touring back together and I'm wondering where to find the small studs that attach to the buggy rail. There are several small holes in my rail that these studs go into in order to attach the top to instead of Murphy fasteners. I'm not exactly sure what the correct terminology is but does anyone make these studs? I can't seem to find them in any of the supply catalogs. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Steve, I do believe those are them! I counted the holes in my buggy rail and I'll need ten total. Is there a nut that holds it in place, since my holes go all the way through the rail?

The ones I have were machined by Otis Clinton a long, long time ago. I'll bow out to Kim D. if he can assist you first, if not drop me a note. My friend's '10 was here a month ago but I didn't take notice of those on the buggy rail - Kim might recall these studs utilizing a nut of some type.

Steve, I don't have that many, I know Otis made nice ones. They push through the buggy rail and I think are then peened. I'll check tomorrow.

My 1910 stud has threads. The stud is brass and there is a steel funnel type washer on it that seats up against the steel buggy rail.

The ones on my 1910 are not threaded, just pushed through the rail and peened.
