Buzz Saw Govenor Design
Hi, I am trying to get all of the parts to put a Buzz Saw together. I have a Buzz Saw Table, with guard, 24" Blade, and a power pulley for my T engine. But now I was told I will have to get/buy/design and make my own Governor. I have looked on the web and have nit be able to find any designs for the Governor. So I thought I would ask this question on our Forum? Thanks Rich Kemp (937) 999-9990

That is a very nice presentation. I found a similar one in the '60s but couldn't talk them out of it.

That's an air governor, same principle as used on Briggs and Stratton engines for years. A simple, light pivoted "paddle" is struck by the fan air stream. If the stream slows down (load on engine) a spring pulls the fan forward and pulls the linkage to the throttle, speeding up the engine. As the air stream picks up again, the paddle is prevented from going too far by a second spring, so the rpm is maintained. In other words, it's all a "balancing act" between the two springs. Changing the amount of pull on the springs via threaded rods controls the minimum/maximum speed of the engine.

You need a Kingston Governor. Used of a lot of farm equipment. Replaces the generator. I think I have one, maybe parts of 2. PM me if you are interested. Dan.

Keep your eyes on Ebay, they come up every so often. I think there was just one on, the type that replaces the generator.
