Centerdoor question

Is the rear seat back cushion secured to the body in any way? I noticed that it does take much force for it to tip forward. I have not seen any hooks/brackets on the wood frame to which the springs/upholstery is attached.

Thanks,

Dave

Yes. There is a piece of metal screwed to the rear belt rail under the center line of the rear window that a metal strip on the rear backrest spring board slips into

The belt rail is upside down in this picture (it’s towards the top of the photo) but you can see it.

The bottom spring is not attached to the car in any way.

Thanks Will! The seat back had that hook but the slot on the rear window frame was missing. It must have got lost during the restoration. But the gods were smiling because I was rummaging through some miscellaneous spares when I ran across a modern metal bracket that was perfect! Four screws and 10 minutes later and I was back in business! No idea what that bracket was for originally...

BTW, good progress on your wooding the centerdoor. I don't think there is a straight piece on that body!!!!!
