Help ID Vehicle Request
It is clearly NOT a Ford, and it clearly has a custom body on a heavy truck type chassis
My guess is close to 1920 ? Location is Salida, Colorado, and the small narrow gauge
locomotive may skew one's sense of size of the vehicle in question.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Help ID Vehicle Request
I can't tell you about the car, but I can tell you about the locomotive.
Denver & Rio Grande Western ten-wheeler #168 was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia, PA in 1883. The locomotive STILL EXISTS to this day and is undergoing restoration to operable condition. It's currently housed in Antonito, Colorado.
Here's a photo of it in Montrose, CO across from the Vanderburg Hotel in 1909.

I believe the inquirer has an active part in the work being done on D&RG 168. His
interest in the depot/hotel hack is outside his scope of historical knowledge, and thusly
he turned to me, as he knows I consort with sketchy figures of the old car underworld.

The fuzzy image can only hope for a guess. Mine is a Dodge screen-side delivery.
I can barely remember the steam locomotives as a child but they left an impression.

I understand that there's even a "forum" where those sketchy figures hang out and talk about oil and stuff.Burger in Spokane wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2019 12:20 am...he turned to me, as he knows I consort with sketchy figures of the old car underworld.

Re: Help ID Vehicle Request
It might not even be a truck. Maybe a huge touring car. The top looks like a touring top

Re: Help ID Vehicle Request
No idea as to make, but just trying to examine some details.
Is that a side mount on the left side of the body ? Or maybe a rear fender ? If it's a side mount, then there is no access to a second row seat from that side -- making a questionable depot hack sort of vehicle. More likely a truck. If it's a rear fender, then the vehicle would have to be very short wheel base, making it some sort of special use creation.

Re: Help ID Vehicle Request
Another observation on that object on the left rear side of the vehicle in question. The top of the radius is quite a bit higher than the front fender, probably too high to be a rear fender. So it's more likely a side mount. Wouldn't a side mount positioned right behind the drivers' door be more likely to appear on a truck ?

Re: Help ID Vehicle Request
It certainly is hard to tell, but I'm thinking it's a produce truck. I have no idea what make it may be.
