Wooden Roof Frame

I'm trying to install a wooden roof frame kit on a 26 coupe. What a PIA, I've had to do a bit of cutting to get things to fit sort of. I can't see where the pieces in the rear corners and back piece above the rear window attaches to the body like the front and side pieces do. I see I'll be doing quite a bit of sanding to get a smooth edge and top so no lumps show thru the covering.

Most any of the wood kits for Model T’s that are avaliable have to have some fit up and fitting.
The body wood kits are no different than the later T top wood kits in that respect.

Google "mtfca Don Booth 26 coupe roof" and you will find a number of informative posts with photos Don has shared over the years. Included in some of those older posts are pics of body types and associated wood, not all improved Fords used the same wood parts, but the tops were all the same. Good luck, jb

I've gotten most of the frame on now I notice there is about an1/8 gap between the top of the metal body and the underside of the frame I believe the rabbet was cut to deep. Is that going to cause a problem when I install the roof covering and the beading?
