McLaren rims

Post by Rod Petrie » Sun Aug 25, 2019 4:43 pm

Has anyone tried to order McLaren rims recently? They don't answer the phone or respond to e-mail. Just wondering if they are out of business.

Mike has been on the national tour in Cookeville, TN. You should probably be able to get an answer this week.

Just to clarify... Mclaren wheels is a different company than Mclaren rims, or at least always has been. Mike may well be able to help you purchase rims from his inventory. All the major vendors have been dealing rims out of New Zealand for a while now. They are good quality too

These are the "McLaren" style wheels Mike made for me. The rears needed to be a different size and he researched rims and different spokes and built a great set of wheels. The wheels are well made and he went over and above to get them to me at Chickasha this year.

Thanks for the supportive comments. I build McLaren Wire Wheels and my company name is Vintage Wire Wheel LLC. American Vintage Rims, owned by Mark and Janice McLaren, produces rims. I have been fortunate over the past three years to order and receive the rims I require to build the wire wheels. I am admittedly not a high volume customer but have been able meet my needs. My suggestion is to continue to reach out to American Vintage Rim. Mike
