I'm looking at replacing the 3 speed Watford and using a stock drive shaft and tube on my 26 TT project. Is there any other considerations I need to look for beside a drive shaft and tube. I'm looking so if anyone has a set Id be interested. Thanks

Typically you'll also need a pair of full length radius rods too.
If I may ask - Why are you removing it?

I know I have a TT torque tube - maybe a driveshaft as well. Also have a friend from Destin FL coming to see me next week....in a F250. Couple

Hpetrino Im not removing it just not installing it on this rebuild. The PO indicated a problem with it shifting. I know nothing more than that.....so thinking going stock for now, then research the Warford

Provided the gears and etc are reasonably good, a good overdrive is the single best improvement to a model TT. It helps them to be marginally drivable outside a very limited area. Warfords and other similar transmissions ARE difficult to shift! It is a acquired skill that many people never can master. However, most people, with a bit of instruction, and a fair amount of practice can get good at it.
I would recommend putting the Warford in. Worst case, for all forward travel, put it in overdrive and leave it there. An unloaded TT can be driven that way about as well as a standard T without additional gearing.
If you are really concerned about needing to shift it? Try getting one of the "Universal" or Rocky Mountain" transmissions. They are much easier to shift.
With ANY added gearing in a model T, make SURE you have good hand or pedal brakes that won't fail if the transmission gets stuck out of gear!

I would not have a Model T without a Warford! Well almost and especially a TT so I've heard. After lots of miles I can tell you that a little grinding noise when trying to shift has not hurt any of the teeth. I'm really amazed at the condition of the gears. They surely are made of some good stuff!
