Barn find - 4+ cars and a tons of parts

Post by AdminJeff » Sun Sep 08, 2019 9:10 pm

I finally got the whole lot transferred to my new storage shed. It all just barely fit. Looks like Al took apart 4 or 5 cars. He had a real liking for wire wheels - I must have 20-30 of them.

I took pics of some stuff along the way. I'll be identifying as much as I can ( I could probably use help) and then it's off to the classifieds! Most of this stuff is late model, but there is some older stuff here and there. This isn't a "for sale" posting. Everybody has been interested in the journey and this is the latest chapter of the journey.

I did tear down the first of the 4 engines and it looks like the trans is in really good shape so I'm good there. The rear main bearings on my block and this one I just tore down have seen better days tho... Looks like I'll be visiting Mr. Barrett for some Babbitt.

Unfortunately our gallery isn't set up for hundreds of pics, so I used Flickr. You don't have to be a member to view pics, just follow the links. If you want to comment on any of the pics you can, but you have to become a member.

Next I'll go through all the boxes on the shelves and take pics. That's going to take some time.
Ok, back to sleep now!
