Need photos of 1914 Roadster body wood

Post by John Haynes » Thu Sep 05, 2019 6:01 pm

Gentlemen:
I am in the process of wooding a 1914 Roadster body with a kit I purchased. There are few instructions or illustrations. I am in need of photos of the seat wood framework that is just above the fuel tank. I believe the wood lid that covers the fuel tank and is just under the front seat cushion is rectangular. The dimensions of that lid would be very helpful. It appears that there are a few wood pieces that are incorrect. I thank you in advance for your help!

Here’s my ‘14 runabout under-the-seat wood: the ‘lid’ measures 31 1/4” X 14 5/8”. This body was reworded by Ray Wells aka The Craftsman.

Mike, here is the link. It's in the 2015 Forum. http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/506218/523488.html
Since then, the body has been completed and is in primer. I just finished the upholstery and am preparing to begin refinishing all the sheet metal for the car. I feel fortunate to have found all 1915 sheet metal, except running boards. Hope the pictures help.
