Vottage Regulator

I just bought a real nice restored generator. Hank (the guy I bought it from) told me to make sure the voltage regulator was in good condition and to adjust the third brush. I ordered the wrench from Lang's as well as a Voltage regulator. My regulator was looking real rusty and bad. The one I ordered is on backorder. The say that the company that made them got bought out by another one and they are behind. This is the description of what I bought:
Without sacrifice of the original look you can now completely replace that troublesome generator cutout with the 6 Volt, Negative ground Model T regulator that has a Ford Script on the top as the originals. Enjoy the luxury of modern day electronics mounted in original style, generator cutout housing. Cruise with confidence knowing you have true field winding control (not just a diode) and protection from electrical system burn out which includes the battery and generator.
No lost "Show" points - exact replacement for generator cut out
Not just a diode but a complete electronic voltage regulator
Protects the generator and electrical system from burn out
No alterations to generator or car wiring - installs in minutes
No more dead generator or boiled away battery
Externally perfect in appearance - would have fooled Henry
Instructions included
My questions are has anyone run one of these? How do you like it?
