Can anyone give me info about this badge?

Post by NHUSA » Sat Sep 21, 2019 3:50 pm

I was at a car show a few weeks ago and a got into a conversation with a guy from Maine that owned a TR-3.
We talked for a few hour and he said he had something that looked like a Model T radiator on his wicker basket.
In a few minutes he returned with this and said that it looks like it belonged on my T and insisted that I take it.
He said that it was in a bunch of car plaques that he got a few years ago.

Does anyone recognize it?
It looks like M L A and maybe an O.

That looks like a symbol of an early road camping org. that was posted about sometime last year.

Hi Fred,
That badge is from the MOALs. The Maine Obsolete Automobile League. Although the badge has the outline of a Model T radiator, I think that the club accepted all makes. I am not sure if they still are a functioning club and have meetings. Perhaps Mr. Google would know.

Nice badge.

Best Regards,
Bill

Every time I try to mark you as a “ Foe “ ...

I get a reply “ Impossible “ ... ;)

Hope you got some driving in this Summer.

Hi Jim,

Foe? Um, Friend Of Everyone? Well, that's what I will run with.

Drive the cars, HAH! I haven't driven the Model T since July 7th and the Metz not since July 13th. My health is okay. I have been up to my eyeballs with, um, er, well, "things to do."

Be well and keep the shiny side up, Bill

Thanks. You folks have all the answers.

Now all I need to know are answers to three questions

1 Why is there air?

2. How do I get $10O, 000,000 for my hobbies?
(after some thought I added another O to the amount and probably should add yet another one of two)

3. Where do I find the stuff that will allow me to live a long and happy life?

1. According to an old Bill Cosby LP I have, it is so we can blow up basketballs.

2. Find someone who will give you $200,000,000 and split it with me.

3. You're here, aren't you?

:D
