Worn pedals and clutch pedal notch?

What can be done about worn pedals? I am changing the cams and supports, doing the o-ring trick but my pedals at the cams are worn.
Can the clutch pedal notch and support be changed without taking the hogshead off?
I am re-starting from this thread which has become too long:

If you can get enough movement inward to completely lock the band when the pedal is about one inch above the floor board and yet have the band loose when the pedal is all the way back so there is no drag on the drum when in neutral you can just replace the cams. But for the low, which gets much use, It would be good to replace both the notch and the cam. It is best to remove the hogs head to do this work on any of the pedals because it would be very hard to do this work without dropping anything in the transmission, and would also be hard to rivit the notch in place with the hogs head in place.

I'm with Norm. Take it out. It may be theoretically possible to do the job with the hogshead in the car, but I wouldn't try it. I think it's like replacing the clutch spring in the car. You can do it, but it's the job from Hell.

I think everything can be done for the slow speed notch and clutch support without taking the hogshead off EXCEPT peening the bottom notch rivet. That looks impossible to do with the hogshead off.
I tried my new notch and clutch support without installing and they are super tight compared to my apparently very worn out notch and clutch.
Sadly I don't think I have time to take the hogshead off to change the notch and clutch support and put it all back together as my son wants me to drive him to the Homecoming dance Friday night. I think I will be able to get the Kevlar bands done and re-installed in time.
