Reverse question

My reverse is a bit weak. I don’t want to get it too tight. IF the band was too tight would the car tend to creep backwards in neutral?

If you set it to tight you will likely destroy the reverse drum, especially if you have Kevlar bands.
So set just tight enough so you can back up successfully

What Les said. You want the band loose when the pedal is up, of course. But you want to adjust it tight enough to stop the drum when you mash the pedal down. If the band is loose enough to let the drum turn against it, friction=heat=cracked drum. With the pedal adjusted so it's at least an inch from the floor when fully pressed down, there should still be plenty of free play before the band tightens.

Your reverse band may not be perfectly round. If true, loosening the band may not be enough to prevent friction.

The first thing I thought of was that you were going to give us the answer before asking the question.
