My youngest daughter and I a couple days ago on an HCCA tour in Oklahoma. Caught in the rain, but all smiles. She was 5 months old on her first week-long tour.

Neighbor kids on my 1897 Olds Trap. I always have kids on the cars, it's the best way to spark that lifetime interest. Then my granddaughter driving me around in the 1910 REO truck.

Re: KIDS AND CARS
I don't have any children however when I go to the shows I manged to get many to sit in and crawl all over the T. Just came back from a show this morning, 9 kids got to sit in the hot seat today. Lots of fun and the parents love it.

Re: KIDS AND CARS
I consider it my primary mission in life to poison the minds of youth with old junk
at every chance I get.
This little urchin was a bubbly bunch of fun. He dragged his mother and little
sister over to he could take the old dog for a test drive, and was talking a mile-
a-minute in all his excitement. This is not an uncommon occurrance whenever
I have the beast out and about. One of the greatest pleasures of old car owner-
ship, and the TT truck has more appeal to the general public than any other old
vehicle I have ever owned.
Prom night posing ? This group of girls rolled up in a limo, piled out, and asked
if I might take their photo in the truck. Photos were taken, and they sped away
in the limo to destinations unknown.

Re: KIDS AND CARS
The same Kids a few years later. The places tours took them and experiences with other car folks was an invaluable supplement to their education and temperament. Enduring the elements in and open car and the tedious drives between attractions made us all better people in so many ways.

Re: KIDS AND CARS
This shows our 2 1/2 year old Granddaughter on our trip to the Glacier Tour several years ago. It involved 11 days, 70 driving hours and 1100 miles.
All went well I'm happy to say. It was Summer and we could stop at local schoolyard playgrounds whenever she got restless.

I think 11-13 kids got in the car at once, because who wants to go second?

Re: KIDS AND CARS
Each year we bring the Model T and a couple Model A's to the local Elementary School to talk with the 5th graders about Henry Ford, the rise of the auto industry, and the early road systems. The kids are studying the "Age of Invention" at that time of year. My wife and I dress period to talk about the cars, and she brings several of her accessory pieces to talk about. After our talk, the kids are invited to come see and experience the cars up close and ask questions. Some 100 plus kids this year, wonderful questions, lots of interest, and everybody well behaved. One of the best things we do the cars.
We'll be back in the Spring with our Jeep and '42 Ford to talk about WWII and the war years.
