Question for the Fordson Guys
I have what appears to be a 1920 fordson F tractor, and was wondering about the color. Mine is orange and I didnt think this was a stock color but its hard to believe someone painted it because there is no other color underneath the orange and there is paint where it seems would have been difficult to get to. Also when looking at the vendors I see that a Fordson orange paint is offered? Thanks in advance

Re: Question for the Fordson Guys
What I was told is the Irish built Fordson's were blue with orange wheels. Between what years I do not know.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Re: Question for the Fordson Guys
Ken, your Fordson is most likely an Irish Fordson, built in Cork, Ireland and orange would be the correct and original color. I think when production was moved from Cork, Ireland, to Dagenham, England, is when they because blue with orange wheels, though I'm no expert on this.
To date your tractor via serial number, you can visit " thefordsonhouse.com" and click on the dating chart. It lists the years by serial number and country of manufacture.

Re: Question for the Fordson Guys
Could it have been an industrial or State owned tractor. Many of those were painted in different colors, orange and yellow were popular. Just a WAG Dave
