Dupont Acrylic Lacquer paint 99L

Post by 24tcoupe » Fri Oct 04, 2019 10:30 pm

I am looking for some of the old Dupont 99L Lacquer paint for my 1924 T. I painted it back in the early 80's and am now in need of some more paint for touch up. Any amount will do, opened or not opened.

Thanks

I don't think Lacquer paint is still available in Calif. Even "Gun Wash" is no longer Lacquer. This is all because of EPA rules in Calif. They would like us to use water base paints which I have used but do not like. You may be able to order or buy Lacquer paint/thinner by mail or go out of state to get it.
Most paint offered by the paint stores in Calif. is "Base Coat/Clear Coat. Some still provide Urethanes and Polyester primer.

Good Luck,
Les

Do you have the old can? If so, can you post a picture of it?

Hibernia Restoration in NJ has what you need. They were able to match the lacquer I painted my car with in 1970 perfectly. They say they can ship to all 50 States.
