Re: scam
A little OT but goes to show the extent some creeps will go to: Last week I got a phone call and noticed an extremely odd number on the phone. It was 000-000-0000. Bells immediately went off and I answered with "Yeah"? Caller says "Hello Grandpa Charlie"? (My Grandkids don't call me that). I didn't answer. Caller says "Can you hear me Grandpa Charlie? This is you right"? I said you got the wrong number and hung up. Wish now I'd have strung him along to see where he wanted the money he was sure to ask for sent to.
Forget everything you thought you knew.

I'm being detained on phony charges by the cops in Juarez. I need you to send me $5.7 billion so I can pay la mordida.

Re: scam
I have heard that the scammers are trying to get you to say "yes" so that it can be recorded for use in some type of banking / credit card scam.

Re: scam
Tips
Do not open an email from a suspicious or unknown sender.
Block the sender if you can.
There are literally millions of emails sent out on a daily basis
“ Phishing “ for information - just opening one up makes your
computer susceptible to a virus - replying to one is even worse.
I started out learning on Apple OS - then switched to Microsoft OS.
For several years now - since it came out - I have used Chrome OS.
It is simple - easy - highly resistant to virus attacks.
The trade off is - it doesn’t support a lot of apps.
