MOUNTING STARTER BUTTON

I'm adding a starter to my 1919 TT truck . There is a cross bar that runs across the frame to the back support for the short running boards. Is that where most of the starter buttons/switch are mounted ?

Thanks as always
Chris

I am not as knowledgeable on TT as T but if this were a car, there would be two holes in the driver's side main frame rail to bolt the switch to. That places it quite near the front of the seat riser and operated by your heel.

This is a photo I collected about a year or two ago from a T truck.

Scott is right.

The TT starter switch is on the frame in the same place as the T. Otherwise the hole in the heel panel for the button wouldn't fit!

One of the bolts that holds the running board brace strap is used for one side of the starter bracket.

Note starter button hole on heel panel of C-Cab open body for the later TT's.

None of the pictures sent are like mine, I don't have any predrilled holes in the frame and the cross brace to the rear running board bracket runs higher across and curves down at the frame rail and then is riveted to the frame and then continues on. MY truck being a 19 open bodied does not have the hole for the switch in the body. I am going to drill two holes in the top frame rail at approximately the same location as noted in the pictures. This will leave about 3/4" sticking thru. thanks for the pictures when I get mine out of my garage i'll post some of mine.
Thanks Chris
